Kaleena Cooperwood - Thompson
Founder and Director Kaleena has more than five years of experience as a licensed master esthetician and ten years as a licensed lash extension professional. She is also a business coach and motivational speaker who loves imparting positivity with her audience.
Kaleena’s expertise in esthetics and lash extensions inspired her to open Flavous Beauty Academy in January 2020. Through which she inspires to empower women to realize their full potential and become some of the best beauty professionals in Dallas-Fort worth and beyond. When she isn’t busy running Flavous Beauty Academy and teaching students, Kaleena spends her free time with her family, working out, and helping women in her community.
Kaleena is also a celebrated online influencer. She is the creator of Beginners Eyelash Extension, an online Facebook community with over 18 thousand members from all over the world. As a show of gratitude and appreciation, she actively participates in the betterment of her community as well. Kaleena is the founder of Lashing with Confidence, a mentoring program that reaches out to troubled teens in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Krystel Petite
A California native, Krystel Petite moved to Texas to pursue her calling in the beauty industry. After graduating, she opened her own business, Penthouse Beaute Studio offering a wide range of beauty services. To further expend her skill set by learning various esthetics procedures, including facials, chemical peels, and waxing.
She expanded her knowledge training on various techniques including waxing. chemical peels and facials. She then took the role as esthetician instructor and graduated from Flavous Beauty Academy. In her past time, Krystel enjoys dabbling in DIY crafts and participating in many outdoor activities.
Marcinda Hankins
Marcinda has always been passionate about beauty. Since 2015, she has been working as a local makeup artist in the DFW area. When she was laid off from her job at JP Morgan Chase in 2018, Marcinda took this as an opportunity to finally pursue her lifelong passion for makeup artistry.
In the same year, she became a certified and trained professional makeup artist, specializing in microshading services. More opportunities knocked at Marcinda’s door since she began working as a permanent makeup artist. The flexibility and great earning potential in this high demand industry have made it possible for Marcinda to fulfill her dreams while ensuring great returns in the long run.
Marcinda is one of the many lovely and skilled beauty instructors at Flavous Beauty Academy. Her passion for makeup and beauty is evident in her excellence as a beauty educator. You can rest assured to learn extensively about esthetics, makeup, microshading, and many more under the mentorship of Marcinda.
Heaven Hughes
Heaven Hughes, an Arkansas native, began her beauty journey at an early age! She has always had a passion for servicing people whether it was braiding hair or doing quick weaves. In 2013 relocated to Dallas, TX.
In 2020, in this midst of the global pandemic, Heaven took a leap of faith and graduated from Tint School Of Cosmotology nail technician program. She took advantage of the opportunity that was given and went full force into her nail career.
She is now the head instructor at Flavous Beauty Academy where she takes pride in teaching the ins and outs of the manicure program! She is passionate about helping likeminded women achieve their goal to becoming not only a licensed nail tech but a GREAT ONE!
Heaven is the owner and CEO of Heavenly Kreationz, a luxury nail care service! She is active in the community! She also hosts an annual Women’s Self Care Day, where she teaches women how to perform self care through meditation, fitness, skin care, and other great things! Heaven takes pride in teaching and providing nail services. Her passion and drive inspires all those she meets. We are honored to have her a part of the Flavous Beauty Team!
